Since the past, there have been many science-fiction novels about a human migration to Mars within our solar system other than the Earth. And Tesla CEO Elon Musk is already carrying out a massive migration project for mankind to Mars.
When people think about Mars, they think of unknown, pioneering and challenges in general. In that sense, "The Mars" platform has set the stage on the Mars background, and it is also meant to experience the Mars in advance through the platform even though the planet is far away in outer space,
In addition, the small city called Colony that can only exist in the Mars universe, it is the most important part of the project.
The Mars has been designed not to be stereotypical images such as dry and bleak, it is portrayed as a somewhat bright like Utopia and Fantasia, where anyone can make their dreams come true.

Quantity: The number of Colony increases according to the population density after the first Colony.

In general, many metaverse platforms are based on the real-estate, and it is designed to sell as much land as possible to the users to earn profit, which is the major income of the platform. It brings multiple problems, as the size of the land continues to expand in a two-dimensional form, or the land is sold excessively compared to the number of users.
This issue occurs majority of metaverse platforms based on the real-estate concept. However, Mars: metaverse suggests the Colony model as a solution to the problem.
The Colony has the shape of a concentric circle and is a small city with a diameter of about 1km. The first Colony exists for each continent, and It is also possible to move between different Colony and change affiliated Colony.
There are 100,000 to 1 million users per Colony, and most of the land in the Colony can be purchased and owned by the users.
After having Land in Colony, users can build a house or a commercial building, and users can connect their private space (#ID) or commercial space (#ID) to the building directly. Unless the number of users in the Colony reaches a certain level, a space of the Colony should not be expanded and lands will not be opened (Distributed) to optimize the gameplay and user interactions. If too many users enters, extra Colony can be created in different countries or continents.
All the hobbies, sports, marketplaces and concerts that users can enjoy are located in the Colony, inside the Mars: metaverse. For example, sports and concerts can be accessed from every Colony, so that all the users can spend time together.
Users are placed in the dense and lively environment, though not stuffy. Such an environment is expected to create a natural social atmosphere with interaction and communication between users.
Our team has the best technology for multiple access, as 300 - 400 users can work together in one space. Through channeling, the floating population can be maximized by (the number of users) * (the number of channels) that are visible at the location. It helps to increase the value of the building through activation.
We believe that these technologies and interactions are the most important element of the metaverse, and we continuously monitor social phenomena to develop the Colony space.
Users can own land(s) in the Colony of The Mars. Because the Colony is small and finite, the total number of lands in the Colony is not enough and owing lands is difficult.
Land can be purchased with Phobos Token (PBOS), and at least 1/10 of the sale price must be deposited in order to win the lottery. (If won, the deposit is paid automatically.)
A purchased land can be owned forever on the platform of The Mars by issuing NFT, or can be traded with others through NFT marketplaces, such as Opensea and brizzi..
If the user owns Land, they can construct a building on the Land. When building, a separate virtual space is given a chance to connect an existing personal space when entering/exiting the building. If connecting a building with a personal space, the additional virtual space can only be accessed by "address (ID)".
Land is sold at a set price for each initial grade, and "Phobos Token", a governance token in the platform of The Mars, is required to participate in the pre-sale. Plus, 1/10 of the sale price must be deposited.
In order to participate in the land lottery with Phobos Token, the amount of Phobos Token the user participates in is locked-up and cannot be used anywhere else until the lottery is over. If the Phobos Token is burned and removed, the user's chance of winning can be increased by securing a stake equivalent to 10 times the number of used Phobos Token. Burned tokens will not be restored. Land winning probability (share) = Participated PBOS Token amount * Weighted staking period / Total PBOS Token amount Once the user wins the land lottery, user must pay the balance of the sales price within 1 day of the actual time. In case of non-payment, the paid margin (1/10 of the Land price) is non-refundable, and the amount deposited beyond that amount will be refunded. If not, the winning chance would be transferred to other applicants. (Used Phobos tokens will be unlocked if not burned.)
If the user wins the land but does not own the balance, the user can pay through a loan at the Mars DeFi Bank.
Although the space of the Colony is finite and highly dense, there is space that transcends time and space in The Mars to take advantage of the characteristics of the metaverse platform.
The building is connected to an internal space, and the size of this space has nothing to do with the external appearance of the building.
Users may enter a small cabin but have a large space like a palace inside, or users may enter a large building but have a small space inside.
And users can travel to colonies of other territories as well as their own countries' colonies like we are travelling abroad.
In The Mars, there is a private space called "My Home", which is one of the most important core contents. This space is given to everyone, and users can decorate the space according to their taste.
Users can also invite other users to talk or play music and enjoy a party. "My House" doesn't exist in the Colony, but it has users' ID in the same format as #ID, so it makes users can go to their friends' home by entering their ID or clicking the button of "visit a friend's house' UX/UI.
